It's a hardy, hungry coral that builds flat, fleshy mats out of huge, inflated corallites in electric greens, oranges and reds.

Natural Habitat

The species (traded in the past as Acanthastrea or Micromussa bowerbanki) is found on southern and eastern Australian reefs and across the wider Indo-Pacific, growing on the lower slopes and flats of the reef where nutrient levels are moderate, light is reduced and current runs gentle. AA07 does best in a comparable shaded-to-moderate light spot with indirect flow.

Appearance

The corallites on AA07 are large and inflate to fully cover the skeleton, forming a flat encrusting sheet in bright greens, oranges, reds and rainbow tones. It's larger and flatter than a micro lord overall, with healthy tissue staying fully inflated and unbroken.

https://nicksaquariumoceanariumterrarium.com.au/products/acanthastrea-bowerbanki-micromussa-aa07-homophyllia-bowerbanki
