The white cloud mountain minnow is one of the few genuinely cold water community fish, and it is often the right answer when someone wants a small, colourful, active fish without a heater. We stock the standard white cloud and the gold form.
They sit comfortably at room temperature and colour better in cooler water than in a warm tropical tank, where they tend to be short lived. That makes them a good match for an unheated indoor tank or a shaded outdoor tub.
They are peaceful, they stay around four centimetres, and they school properly in groups of eight or more, with males displaying to each other across the group. Do not house them with goldfish large enough to eat them. See shipping and delivery.
