Blue-eyes are small Australian and New Guinea natives from the Pseudomugil group, and they are one of the best nano fish available to Australian keepers. We stock the Pacific blue eye, spotted blue eye, delicate blue eye and the threadfin rainbowfish, which sits alongside them.
Males display to each other constantly with fins fully spread, so a group shows behaviour you simply do not get from a pair. They stay small, generally under four centimetres, and suit planted nano tanks with gentle flow.
The Pacific blue eye tolerates a wide range of conditions including slightly brackish water, which reflects the coastal Queensland creeks it comes from. Keep them in groups of eight or more. See shipping and delivery.
