The royal gramma is one of the best value fish in the marine hobby. Purple at the front, yellow at the back, hardy, reef safe, peaceful and small enough for a nano tank.

They hold station in a cave or under an overhang and often orient to the rock rather than the water surface, so a rockscape with holes and ledges suits them far better than an open aquascape. They accept prepared foods without fuss and rarely trouble anything else in the tank.

Keep one per tank in smaller systems, since two will usually dispute the same cave. Like most small reef fish they jump, so use a lid. See shipping and delivery for live fish terms.
