The easiest fish in the hobby to start with, and the ones most people keep first. Livebearers cover guppies, mollies, platies and swordtails, all of them hardy, colourful and, as the name says, giving birth to live young rather than laying eggs, which means a mixed sex group will breed on its own.

Our betta range runs deep, with halfmoon, plakat, crowntail, veiltail and samurai patterns in male and female forms. Bettas need heated water and a tank from about fifteen litres, one male per tank, and no long finned or fin nipping tank mates.

Fancy goldfish including oranda, ranchu, ryukin and black moor sit here too. Goldfish are cold water fish, they grow large, and they need far more volume and filtration than a bowl. See shipping and delivery for live fish terms.
