Gobies are the small, reef safe workers of a marine tank, and there is one for almost every job. Sand sifting species such as the gold head sleeper goby and orange striped goby move mouthfuls of substrate all day and keep the sand bed turned over. Watchman gobies pair up with pistol shrimp in a burrow, one digging and one on lookout, which is one of the best behaviours you can watch in a home aquarium.

Coral gobies including the yellow, green and citrinus species live tucked inside branching corals and stay tiny, which makes them ideal nano fish. Rainford and two spot gobies are grazers that need an established tank with film algae to pick at.

Most gobies are peaceful and stay small. See shipping and delivery for live fish terms and state restrictions.
