Test Kits

Test kits for the parameters that matter in a freshwater tank. Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate tell you whether the filter is doing its job, and they are essential while a new tank is cycling. pH, general hardness and carbonate hardness, shortened to GH and KH, tell you whether your water suits the species you want to keep.

We stock API master kits and individual tests, along with Seachem, Fluval and AutoAqua monitoring. Liquid reagent kits are more accurate than test strips and work out cheaper per test, though strips are useful for a quick check.

Reagents have a shelf life and drift as they age, so check the expiry date before trusting an unexpected result.
