Rainbowfish are the most underrated schooling fish in the hobby, largely because they are sold as drab juveniles and only colour up as they mature. Give a group of boesemani or red rainbows a year and they become the most striking fish in the room.

Our range covers New Guinea species such as boesemani, praecox, Lake Kutubu and Parkinson's, alongside a strong Australian native list including crimson spot, eastern, chequered, Murray River, ornate and locality forms from Goyder River, Teewah Creek and Clearwater Creek.

Keep them in groups of six or more with a mix of sexes, since males colour hardest when they are displaying to each other. They are active and hardy, and they want swimming room more than they want decor. See shipping and delivery.
