Filtration

Filtration for saltwater systems, covering the three jobs water treatment has to do. Mechanical filtration catches solid waste on socks, sponges and floss before it breaks down. Biological filtration gives nitrifying bacteria somewhere to live, which is what MarinePure blocks, Seachem Matrix and ceramic media are for. Chemical filtration uses carbon, resins and phosphate removers to pull dissolved compounds out of the water.

The range includes canister filters and internal units from Fluval and Bioscape, sump gear and reactors from Red Sea and Aqua Medic, and Aqua Ultraviolet sterilisers, which pass water past a UV lamp to knock down free floating algae and waterborne pathogens.
