Marine Predators

Big personality fish for fish only and predator systems. Triggerfish include clown, humu, blue throat, pinktail and redtooth. Moray eels run from the beginner friendly snowflake through to laced morays and ribbon eels. Lionfish, scorpionfish, groupers, coral trout, frogfish and parrotfish complete the group.

These are not reef fish and most are not tank mate safe. Triggers and morays will eat shrimp, crabs and small fish, and many outgrow a standard display, so size the tank for the adult rather than the animal in the bag.

Handle with respect. Lionfish and scorpionfish carry venomous spines, triggers can bite, and morays are strong escape artists that need a properly weighted lid.
