Bioscape Nano Moss Terrarium Rounded

A rounded glass terrarium with its own grow light, built for moss and miniature plants. The Bioscape Nano Moss Terrarium Rounded pairs a rounded glass base with an integrated LED grow light, sold in two sizes – 175 and 200 – for closed, humidity-holding moss and fern displays on a desk or shelf.

Key features
  • Integrated grow light – a 6500K LED fixture in an anodised aluminium housing sits on top of the rounded glass base.
  • Adjustable ventilation – vents in the light assembly open or close to manage humidity without lifting the whole lid.
  • Rounded glass base – a softer silhouette than the Cylinder model, with a wider footprint at the base for planting layout.
  • Two sizes – the 175 suits a compact desk spot; the 200 gives more room for a fuller moss and fern layout.
Specifications
Size Height Opening diameter Volume LED
175 23 cm 9 cm 3.5 L 3 W, 6500K
200 Not published by the manufacturer for this size Not published by the manufacturer for this size 5 L 5 W, 6500K

Both sizes run on 240 V AC, 50 Hz with an Australian plug.

Which one do I need?

The 175 is the compact option, with a 3.5 L base and a 3 W light – enough for a modest moss cushion or a single fern. The 200 steps up to a 5 L base and a 5 W light, giving noticeably more room before a planting needs trimming back.

What's included / what you'll still need

Included: the rounded glass terrarium base and the integrated LED grow light with adjustable ventilation.

Not included: moss, ferns, plants, substrate or hardscape.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for moss, ferns and miniature tropical plants in a closed terrarium display. Not designed as an aquarium and not sold or plumbed to hold fish, shrimp or other aquatic livestock.

Care and maintenance

Mist lightly and rarely – a closed terrarium recycles its own moisture, and overwatering is the most common way a moss terrarium fails. Open the vents for a few hours if condensation builds up heavily on the glass.

Warranty and delivery

Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Common questions

What's the difference between the Rounded and the Cylinder terrarium?

Both use the same integrated LED and adjustable ventilation. The Rounded has a wider, softer base shape; the Cylinder is a straight-sided glass tube. Pick whichever silhouette suits the spot you're putting it in.

Do I need to add water?

Only an occasional light misting – the closed design holds humidity well between mistings.

Can I keep shrimp or fish in it?

No – it's a terrarium for moss and plants, not an aquarium, and isn't set up to hold aquatic livestock.

Is the external size of the 200 published anywhere?

Bioscape hasn't published external height and diameter figures for the 200 Rounded at the time of writing – only its 5 L internal volume and 5 W light rating are confirmed. Get in touch if exact external dimensions matter for where you're placing it.
