Bioscape Nitrate Extraction Cubes 85+
Nitrate absorbing cubes that sit loose in your filter. Bioscape Nitrate Extraction Cubes are poly fibre pads cut into cubes about 4 x 3 cm and impregnated with a resin that absorbs nitrate, with 85 or more cubes in a pack. Nitrate is the end product of fish waste breaking down, and it builds up from decaying organic matter, overfeeding, overcrowding and too few water changes.

- Fits most filters: canister filters, power filters (filters with a built-in motor, such as hang on the back types), trickle filters, wet/dry filters, pond filters and other mechanical filters.
- Loose cubes, so you can fill whatever space your media basket or tray has rather than cutting a sheet to fit.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for aquariums and ponds where nitrate keeps rising between water changes. It supports water changes and sensible feeding rather than replacing them. Bioscape does not say whether the cubes suit freshwater, marine or both, so ask us before using them in a reef tank.
Care
Start using the cubes once nitrate begins to rise above an acceptable level. Test your water regularly, and replace the cubes when the reading starts climbing again, usually within 30 to 60 days.
