Eco Tech Pilea

Lush leaf cover without the upkeep. The Eco Tech Pilea is an artificial foliage plant designed to fill out a terrarium with dense, realistic-looking leaf cover – instant greenery and hiding spots with none of the lighting, watering or trimming a live plant needs.

Key features
  • Three sizes – Small, Medium and Large, so you can match the piece to your enclosure rather than cutting one down
  • Dense leaf coverage – gives shy or nervous species somewhere to retreat and feel secure
  • Fixed, realistic shape – no wilting, no leaf drop, no replacing after a lighting change kills it off
  • Rinses clean – wipe or rinse during routine enclosure maintenance

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suited to any dry goods terrarium setup where you want leaf cover and hiding spots without maintaining a live plant. It's decorative only – it won't affect humidity or air quality the way a live plant can, so don't substitute it where your species specifically benefits from live planting.

Goes well with

Works well layered with a vine or branch piece for height, and a substrate that suits your species underneath. Mix sizes across a single enclosure for a fuller, less uniform look.

Warranty and delivery

Covered by your consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. Ships as a standard parcel.

Common questions

Which size should I choose for a standard glass terrarium?

For most small-to-mid glass terrariums, Medium (20 x 45 cm) gives solid coverage without overwhelming the space. Go Small for nano setups and Large for bigger display enclosures.

Can I trim it to fit?

It's supplied as a fixed piece rather than a modular mat, so it's best chosen at the right size up front rather than trimmed down.

Is it safe for all reptile and amphibian species?

Yes – it's an inert synthetic decor piece with no chemical treatment. If your species has specific decor sensitivities, check a species care guide.

Does it need cleaning before first use?

A rinse to clear any packaging dust is enough before it goes into the enclosure.
