Suitable for lighting reptile, frog and invertebrate enclosures and for growing live terrarium plants. Not suitable over open water or as an aquarium light. It is not a UVB lamp (ultraviolet B, the light reptiles use to make vitamin D3), so animals that need UVB still need a separate UVB light.

Keep the unit and its cord away from water and mist, and plug it into an RCD (safety switch) protected outlet.
