Exo Terra Day Glo Bulb
Key features
- Broad-spectrum daylight that Exo Terra describes as ideal for plant photosynthesis.
- Heat gradient: creates the warm to cool range an animal moves along to regulate its body temperature, and raises the air temperature in the terrarium.
- UVA output for physiological well-being and breeding behaviour.
- Coloured glass that Exo Terra says increases the transfer of heat waves.
Specifications
- 60 W: Exo Terra code PT2110
- 100 W: Exo Terra code PT2112
- 150 W: Exo Terra code PT2114
- Type: broad-spectrum daylight heat lamp with a neodymium sleeve; emits UVA and infrared heat, no UVB claimed
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable as the daytime heat and light source in terrariums for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. For a 24 hour cycle, Exo Terra pairs it with a Night Heat Lamp or Infrared Basking Spot for the night hours. Not a UVB source; reptiles that need UVB still need a separate UVB tube or bulb.
Safety
Runs hot. Use a dome fixture with a ceramic socket rated for the wattage, keep the bulb out of the animal's reach with a guard, and run it through a thermostat with a thermometer at the basking spot.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law against manufacturing faults. Ships by standard parcel post.
