The polishing stage that clears the water your coarse foam missed. This is the fine foam replacement for the Exo Terra Turtle Filter FX-200 and FX-350 canister filters (model PT3635) — a two-pack of custom-fit foam blocks with a smaller pore size that catches the fine particulate the coarse foam stage lets through, for clearer water.

Compatibility and fitment
Fits the Exo Terra Turtle Filter FX-200 and FX-350 external canister filters only — check your filter's model plate before ordering, since foam sized for one model may not seal correctly in the other.
Care and maintenance
Rinse the foam in old tank water, not tap water — chlorine and chloramine can kill the beneficial bacteria living in the media. Exo Terra recommends servicing the FX-200 roughly every 1–2 months in a turtle tank, or every 2–4 months in other aquatic setups. Replace the foam once it's too compressed or torn to keep its shape and seal against the canister.

Should this go before or after the coarse foam?
After. Coarse foam is the first mechanical stage and catches the largest debris; fine foam sits downstream and polishes out what's left.
Does this fit the FX-350 as well as the FX-200?
Yes — it's the same fine foam part (PT3635) across both models.
How do I know it needs replacing?
Once it no longer rinses back to something close to its original shape, or flow through the filter drops noticeably even after a clean, it's time to replace it.
Will this remove medication from the water?
Not reliably — this is a mechanical foam, not activated carbon. Use a dedicated carbon or chemical media stage if you need to pull medication or odours from the water.
