Suitable for reptiles and amphibians of a size that fits fully inside the size you choose. Pick a cave the animal can get its whole body into; a hide that is too small will not be used. Many keepers put one hide at the warm end and one at the cool end, so the animal does not have to choose between feeling secure and keeping the right temperature.

Lift it out and scrub it with warm water. If you use a disinfectant, choose one made for reptile enclosures and rinse the cave well before putting it back.
