Exo Terra PRO Terrarium Screen Top

A stainless steel replacement top, sized to match your Pro Terrarium's footprint. This is the Exo Terra Pro Terrarium Screen Top – a UVB-permeable stainless steel mesh lid that fits into the same in-frame locking mechanism as the top supplied with every Exo Terra Pro Terrarium. It's sold in four sizes matched to footprint, not height, so one size covers every Pro Terrarium of that floor plan regardless of how tall it stands.

Key features
  • Stainless steel mesh – the same UVB-permeable screen fitted to new Pro Terrariums, for full-strength UVB transmission to the enclosure below.
  • Sized by footprint – four sizes cover every Pro Terrarium floor plan we stock, independent of the terrarium's height.
  • Drop-in fit – engages Exo Terra's patented in-frame locking mechanism, the same as the original top.
  • Straightforward replacement – for a damaged, corroded or lost original screen top, without replacing the whole terrarium.

Exo Terra's current spare parts listings don't carry this Pro-specific screen top as a separately numbered part, so the size-to-model fit above is matched by footprint against the dimensions on each Pro Terrarium's own product page rather than taken from a published fits-list. If you're not sure which size your terrarium takes, measure the footprint the current top sits in – width by depth – rather than going by the terrarium's height.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for: replacing a damaged, corroded or missing screen top on an Exo Terra Pro Terrarium of matching footprint.

Not suitable for: Exo Terra Natural Terrarium or Pro Paludarium models, which use different top designs – check your enclosure's manual or product page before ordering.

What's included

One replacement stainless steel screen top, in the size selected. Frame, doors, base and any lamps, mats or thermostats are not included.

Care and maintenance

Lift out for cleaning using the same in-frame locking mechanism as the original top. Rinse with fresh water to clear substrate dust and dried misting residue; avoid harsh chemical cleaners on the mesh, which can affect UVB transmission over time.

Goes well with

A UVB lamp matched to your species' UV zone, and a heat lamp or ceramic heat emitter – both sit on or above this mesh, so check each lamp's own mounting-distance table before positioning it.

Warranty and delivery

Manufacturer warranty terms apply in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Common questions

How do I know which size screen top I need?

Measure the footprint of your terrarium – width by depth – not its height. The four sizes here are matched to floor plan, so a Medium/Low, Medium/Wide and Medium/Tall all take the same 60 x 45 cm top.

Will this fit a Natural Terrarium instead of a Pro Terrarium?

No – Natural Terrarium and Pro Paludarium models use different top designs. This screen top is matched to the Pro Terrarium range.

Does the mesh affect UVB output from my lamp?

Some UVB is absorbed by any mesh. This is the same stainless steel screen fitted to new Pro Terrariums, so UVB transmission matches the original – but always position your UVB lamp using its own gradient table rather than assuming open-air readings apply through mesh.
