At 45 cm tall on a small footprint, there's reasonable vertical room for a small basking or UVB fixture, but the narrow 30 x 30 cm floor limits how far the animal can move away from it. Check the bulb's own gradient chart for its minimum safe mounting distance and, just as importantly, whether the resulting basking zone leaves the animal enough cool retreat space on this footprint.

Included: the terrarium unit, the removable lockable stainless steel mesh top, the spring-loaded lockable front doors and the deep waterproof base.

You'll still need: a heat source and, for diurnal species, UVB lighting positioned per that lamp's own gradient chart, a thermostat, substrate, a water dish and small-scale climbing decor.

Suited to small reptiles and amphibians that climb or use vertical space, and to keepers who need a compact footprint for a rack, shelf or limited-space setup.

Not suitable for species that need significant floor space to move, forage or establish territory, and not intended as a permanent full-depth aquatic tank – the larger Small range models suit bigger or ground-roaming species better.

Open the door carefully when working in a small footprint. Lift the mesh top clear for full access when changing substrate or decor. Wipe the glass regularly and check the door latch and padlock holder for wear.

Its compact 30 x 30 cm footprint is designed to suit smaller shelving and rack setups better than the larger 45 x 45 cm Pro models.

Does this terrarium include heating or lighting?

No. It ships as the terrarium unit with its mesh top and lockable door fitted – heating, UVB lighting, a thermostat and substrate are chosen separately.

Is the padlock holder necessary?

No – the built-in spring-loaded lock is standard. The padlock holder is an optional extra layer of security if you want it.
