Exo Terra Vista Glass Terrarium 120 x 60 x 45cm (5mm Glass)

A four-foot panoramic terrarium with curved corner glass and no centre post in the way. The Exo Terra Vista 120 (120 x 60 x 45 cm, PT2588) is a 5 mm glass enclosure built around bent front-corner glass for a genuine wraparound view, a stainless-steel mesh top for ventilation and lighting, and lockable front-opening doors for full front access. At roughly 90 US gallons, it's sized for adult bearded dragons, blue-tongue skinks, larger geckos and similar mid-to-large terrestrial and semi-arboreal reptiles.

Key features
  • Bent front-corner glass – curved 5 mm panels at both front corners remove the usual centre post, giving an unbroken panoramic view of the animal and the scape.
  • Lockable dual front doors – self-closing, removable front-opening doors with pins that lock into the frame for escape-free access during feeding and maintenance.
  • Hinged, lockable mesh top – black anodised stainless steel (304) mesh cover, built to carry heat and UVB fixtures, with a hinged lock to stop escapes from above.
  • Adjustable front-window ventilation – a sliding strip opens or closes the front vent to control the steady upward airflow through the mesh top.
  • Waterproof base with raised frame – the glass base sits inside a raised bottom frame, so bioactive substrate and shallow water features can be built without risking the seams.
  • Self-closing cable and tubing inlets – three per side, so misting lines, probes and heat mat cables can pass through the wall without leaving a permanent gap.
  • Flat-packed for delivery – ships disassembled with a smaller shipping footprint than the built size, with basic assembly hardware and a screwdriver included.

Exo Terra doesn't publish separate internal dimensions or an empty weight for this model – the external figures above are the manufacturer's stated specifications. Internal clearance runs marginally below the external dimensions once the glass and frame are accounted for; if you're working to a tight mounting-height budget for a basking lamp or UVB fixture, it's worth measuring the built enclosure rather than working from the external height alone.

Which Vista size do I need?
Model External dimensions Capacity
Vista 60 60 x 45 x 45 cm 32 US gallon
Vista 120 (this enclosure) 120 x 60 x 45 cm 90 US gallon
Vista 120XL 120 x 60 x 60 cm 120 US gallon

Same panoramic curved-glass design across the range – the 120XL keeps the Vista 120's footprint but adds 15 cm of height, which matters if you're keeping a species that climbs or needs a taller basking-to-substrate gradient. Where floor space is the limiting factor rather than height, the standard Vista 120 gives the largest footprint-to-cost ratio in the range.

Will it fit my heating and lighting?

The mesh top is built to carry Exo Terra's clamp lamps, light domes and UVB fixtures, and the front vent strip is designed to work alongside a heat source without starving the enclosure of airflow. Minimum safe mounting distance is set by the specific bulb, not by the enclosure – check the heat or UVB lamp's own gradient table against the 45 cm external height before buying, since a lamp that needs more clearance than the enclosure has to a safe basking spot isn't the right pairing for this size.

Suitable for – and not suitable for

Suited to adult bearded dragons, blue-tongue skinks, larger day geckos and similar terrestrial-to-semi-arboreal reptiles that use floor space more than height. Not the right shape for species that need significant vertical climbing room – the 45 cm height is comparatively low for a 120 cm-wide footprint; consider the Vista 120XL or a dedicated arboreal enclosure for those species. Not designed to hold standing water beyond a shallow dish or water feature – it's a terrarium base, not an aquarium.

What's included / what you'll still need

Included: the glass structure (flat-packed for delivery), PVC back panel, stainless steel mesh top with hinge and lock, front doors with self-closing hardware, 12 assembly screws and a screwdriver.

You'll still need: substrate, background, a heat source, UVB lighting, a thermostat, hardscape and any water or humidity feature – this is a base enclosure, not a complete kit.

Safety

Exo Terra doesn't publish a filled weight for this model, so we can't state an exact floor-loading figure – as a general rule for glass enclosures this size, use a stand or cabinet built to carry the assembled weight of glass, substrate, hardscape and water combined, not just the tank's own weight, and always support the full base rather than the edges. Route heating and misting cables through the self-closing side inlets rather than propping the mesh top open, which compromises both the escape-proofing and the airflow the front vent is designed around.

Care and maintenance

Clean glass panels and the mesh top as part of routine enclosure maintenance. Check door pins and the mesh hinge lock periodically for wear, since these are the enclosure's main escape-proofing points.

Goes well with
  • An Exo Terra heat lamp or ceramic heat emitter sized to the enclosure, checked against its own gradient table for this enclosure's height.
  • An Exo Terra UVB lamp suited to your species' UV Index needs, checked against its own gradient table.
  • An Exo Terra thermostat, to keep heat output within a safe range for the enclosure's size.
  • A substrate suited to your species, and a background panel to line the PVC back wall.
Warranty and delivery

Covered by the standard consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, in addition to any manufacturer term. Ships flat-packed from our Brisbane / North Lakes warehouse in a smaller shipping footprint than the assembled size; basic assembly is required on arrival.

Common questions

Does this include lighting or heating?

No – the Vista 120 is a base enclosure. The mesh top and front vent are built to carry Exo Terra heat and UVB fixtures, but you'll need to add them separately.

What's the internal height for mounting a lamp?

Exo Terra states the external height as 45 cm but doesn't publish internal clearance separately. Measure the built enclosure and check it against your chosen lamp's minimum mounting distance before installing.

Is this the same as the Vista 120XL?

No – both are 120 x 60 cm on the floor, but the 120XL stands 60 cm tall against this model's 45 cm, for species that need more vertical room.

How does it ship?

Flat-packed, with a smaller shipping footprint than the assembled enclosure. Basic assembly hardware and a screwdriver are included.

Can I keep an aquatic setup in this?

It's built as a terrarium with a waterproof base suited to a shallow water feature or dish, not as a full aquarium – it isn't rated to hold deep standing water.
