Fluval Aquaclear AC110 Filter Media Maintenance Kit
Everything the AquaClear AC110 needs for one full service, in the three stages the filter is built around. This kit (Fluval part 19694) bundles four activated carbon inserts, one Bio-Foam filter pad and two BIOMAX ceramic media inserts – mechanical, chemical and biological filtration in one box, sized specifically for the AC110 power filter.

Will it fit my filter?
This kit is made specifically for the Fluval AquaClear AC110 power filter (rated 227–416 L / 60–110 US gal). It is not interchangeable with the AC20, AC30, AC50 or AC70 kits, which use different-sized media and different part numbers.

Care and maintenance
Fluval's AC110 manual lists a 3-month replacement interval for both the Bio-Foam and the activated carbon. BIOMAX is a long-life biological media and isn't on a fixed replacement schedule in Fluval's documentation – rinse it in tank water at water changes rather than replacing it on the same cycle as the carbon and foam.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for routine, scheduled servicing of an AC110 filter already running on genuine Fluval media. Not suitable as a first-fill for a filter set up with a different brand's media basket layout – check your basket configuration before ordering if your AC110 has been modified.

Common questions
How often do I need to replace this kit?
Fluval's AC110 manual specifies replacing the Bio-Foam and activated carbon every 3 months. BIOMAX can stay in place longer and just needs rinsing at water changes.
Does this kit fit the AC70 as well as the AC110?
No. The AC70 uses its own media kit, sized differently to the AC110's.
Do I need to replace all the media at once?
You can stagger it if you'd rather keep some established bacteria in the filter at all times – just avoid replacing the Bio-Foam and BIOMAX in the same service if you're worried about a bacterial dip.
