Fluval FX Utility Valve Hosing for FX4,FX5 and FX6
Genuine Fluval hosing for the FX4, FX5 and FX6 utility drain valve. This is the vinyl hose that connects to the utility valve on top of your FX-series canister filter, letting you drain the unit for cleaning, discharge water before moving it, or run a water change straight from the filter using the FX gravel cleaner kit. It is the genuine Fluval part (A20237), not a generic hose cut to size.

Will it fit my filter?
This hose fits the utility (purge) valve on the Fluval FX4, FX5 and FX6 canister filters. It does not include the valve itself – if the valve body is cracked or missing rather than just the hose, you need the separate Utility Valve for FX4/FX6 (Fluval part A20219).
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable as a genuine replacement wherever the factory hose on an FX4, FX5 or FX6 utility valve has split, perished or gone missing. Not suitable for the valve body itself, and not intended as general-purpose aquarium tubing elsewhere in the plumbing.
Care and maintenance
Leave the utility valve in the OFF position whenever the hose isn't connected and in use – an open valve will drain the canister immediately. Check the hose for cracking or stiffness periodically, particularly if it's exposed to sunlight or handled roughly during water changes.
