Fluval FX4/FX5/FX6 Giant Purge Valve
Genuine Fluval utility valve for FX4, FX5 and FX6 canister filters. Fluval part A20219, sold here as the purge valve, is the valve at the base of the filter. With its hosing attached, it lets you drain the water out of the canister so it is lighter to move, and empty and refill the aquarium during a water change.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for replacing a cracked, seized or leaking utility valve on an FX4, FX5 or FX6. It is a different part to the AquaStop valves, which connect the hoses to the lid. Fluval does not list it for the FX2.
Care
Fluval's FX manual says to keep the valve in the closed (vertical) position when attaching the hosing, and to turn it anticlockwise to the open (horizontal) position to drain.
