Genuine 316 stainless-steel replacement blades for the Medium Fluval Razor+ 2-in-1 Algae Magnet. Three blades per pack, sized for the Medium magnet only – suits glass up to 10 mm thick – so fit the wrong size blade to the wrong handle and it won't seat correctly against the scraper head.

Will it fit my magnet cleaner?
These blades fit the Medium Fluval Razor+ 2-in-1 Algae Magnet only – the handle rated for glass up to 10 mm thick. Fluval also sells Small and Large Razor+ magnets, each with their own blade size; a Medium blade will not seat correctly in a Small or Large handle. Check the size marked on your magnet's packaging or handle before ordering.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for glass aquariums, as a like-for-like replacement blade for the Medium Razor+ handle.
- Not suitable for acrylic aquariums – use the scrubber pad side of the Razor+ handle on acrylic, not the steel blade, to avoid scratching.
- Not compatible with the Small or Large Razor+ handles, which take their own blade size.
Care and maintenance
Rinse the blade after use to clear trapped substrate grit, which is the main cause of scratching on either the glass or the blade itself. Replace the blade once it stops cutting cleanly rather than pressing harder – a dull blade needs more force, which is what leads to a scratched tank.

Check the size printed on the handle or original packaging. The Medium is rated for glass up to 10 mm; the Small and Large are rated differently and take different blades.

No – use the scrubber pad side of your Razor+ handle on acrylic. The stainless-steel blade is for glass.
How often do these need replacing?
