Fluval T5 LED Quad Light Unit High Output 36" 90cm
Four 39 W T5 HO tubes plus two integrated LED moonlights, in a 90 cm fixture built for larger planted and reef tanks. Despite the "LED" in its name, this is a T5 HO fluorescent fixture – the moonlights are a secondary feature, not the fixture's main light source. Total tube output is 156 W across four T5 HO tubes, switched independently of the moonlight function.

Performance
Fluval has not published a PAR-at-depth chart for this fixture, so we won't guess one. T5 HO output also falls as tubes age – expect a meaningful drop in usable light well before a tube actually fails, which is why the replacement interval matters for plant and coral growth, not just for keeping the tank lit.
Compatibility, spares and supersession
This fixture takes four 39 W T5 HO tubes at approximately 85 cm each. That is a different tube to our 55 cm/24 W T5 Life Spectrum tube, which fits Fluval's smaller 24" T5 fixtures – it will not fit this 90 cm Quad unit. Check your fixture's current tube length before ordering a replacement, or contact us to confirm current stock of the correct 39 W/85 cm tube.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for larger freshwater planted and marine/reef tanks around 90 cm in length needing high-output T5 lighting, with a night-viewing moonlight option. Not a true LED fixture despite the name – if you specifically want LED-only lighting with app control, see Fluval's Plant 4.0 or Marine 4.0 LED ranges instead.
Safety
Mains-powered – use on a circuit protected by an RCD (30 mA or less). The power cord is not user-replaceable and there are no user-serviceable parts inside; if the cord is damaged, replace the unit rather than repairing it.

Common questions
Is this a true LED light?
No. The main light source is four T5 HO fluorescent tubes; the LEDs are a separate low-level moonlight feature only.
Will my existing Fluval T5 tubes fit this fixture?
Only if they're 39 W/85 cm tubes. Our 24 W/55 cm T5 Life Spectrum tube fits Fluval's smaller 24" fixtures, not this 90 cm Quad unit.
Does Fluval publish PAR data for this fixture?
No – Fluval hasn't published a PAR-at-depth chart for this model. If precise PAR matters for your setup (e.g. SPS coral), measure it directly with a PAR meter once installed.
What does the moonlight setting do?
It switches off the main T5 tubes and runs only the two integrated LED moonlights, for a dim night-viewing effect.
