MarinePure Vault
Keeps loose biomedia contained, protected and easy to lift out for cleaning. The MarinePure Vault is a rigid, stackable container from CerMedia (USA) sized to hold a full load of MarinePure media in a sump — protecting the relatively brittle ceramic from knocks, keeping the sump tidy, and turning a media rinse into a one-hand job instead of scooping loose spheres out by hand.
Key features
- Rigid, ventilated container — holds media secure while water flows freely through it
- One-hand removal — lift the whole load out for its rinse instead of fishing for loose media
- Stackable — combine multiple Vaults for larger systems or staged filtration
- Doubles as a skimmer riser — raises a protein skimmer to the working height a sump needs
- Protects brittle ceramic media — shields Blocks and Spheres from knocks against sump walls and baffles
- Freshwater and marine safe

What it holds
| Media | Capacity per Vault |
|---|---|
| MarinePure Block | 1 Block (8" × 8" × 4") |
| MarinePure Spheres | approx. 3.8 L (1 US gallon) |
| MarinePure PODs | 10–12 PODs |
| MarinePure GEMS | over 900 GEMS |
Loaded with a 3.8 L (1 US gallon) fill of Spheres, one Vault supports roughly the same 1,900 L of tank water that a loose 3.8 L pack of Spheres supports, on CerMedia's stated ratio of 1 part media to 500 parts tank water. The Vault changes nothing about the media's filtration capacity — only how it's contained.
Which one do I need?
One Vault suits a single 8"×8"×4" footprint of media. For a larger sump, stack two or more rather than looking for a bigger single unit — CerMedia doesn't make one, and stacking keeps each layer easy to lift and rinse individually.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for any sump running MarinePure Blocks, Spheres, PODs or GEMS, in freshwater or marine systems. Not a substitute for the biomedia itself — the Vault is sold empty and holds media you already own or buy separately.
Care and maintenance
Lift the Vault out as a single unit for the media's routine rinse. The rigid frame needs no maintenance of its own.
Goes well with
MarinePure Spheres or Blocks to fill it, and a mesh media bag if you'd rather line the Vault before filling.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by the consumer guarantees available under Australian Consumer Law. Standard freight applies.
Common questions
Does the Vault come with media inside?
No, it's sold empty. Add MarinePure Blocks, Spheres, PODs or GEMS separately.
Can I stack Vaults on top of each other?
Yes, they're designed to stack, which is the usual way to scale up media volume in a larger sump.
Can the Vault double as a skimmer stand?
Yes. Its rigid, flat-topped design is commonly used to raise a protein skimmer to the height a sump chamber needs.
Will water flow through the Vault properly, or does it channel around the sides?
The Vault is ventilated to let water pass through the media it holds rather than around it — that's the point of the design over loose media sitting in a sump chamber.
