Ocean Sun Deep Water Tube T8 - 36"
A 10,000 K tube for a cool, deep water look. The Zoo Med Ocean Sun 10,000 K is a T8 fluorescent tube (T8 is the standard 25 mm, or 1 inch, tube size) for marine and freshwater aquariums. 10,000 K is its colour temperature: a crisp white with a blue bias, which Zoo Med describes as a "deep ocean" effect. This is the 36 inch, 25 W lamp, Zoo Med item OL-36.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Zoo Med lists it for all marine aquariums, and for freshwater aquariums where a deep water look is wanted. It needs a T8 fixture made for a 36 inch, 25 W tube. Zoo Med's metric range uses different lengths and wattages (the nearest, 900 mm, is 30 W), so check the tube already in your fixture before ordering. It does not fit T5 fixtures.
Care
Switch off and let the tube cool before handling, and wipe salt spray or water spots off the glass so they do not block light. Colour and brightness fade with age, so replace the tube by hours used rather than waiting for it to fail.
Safety
The tube contains mercury, so take a used tube to a lamp or fluorescent recycling drop-off rather than the household bin.
