Red Sea Coral Pro Sea Salts - 25kg sack (600 ltrs)

Key features
  • Alkalinity of about 12 dKH, as stated by Red Sea.
  • No toxic levels of heavy metals and no chemical binders, according to Red Sea.
  • Consistent in small batches: low moisture content, and Red Sea guarantees its parameters for a mix as small as 10 litres.
  • Quick to mix: Red Sea says it takes about 20 minutes from bucket to tank.
Specifications
  • Type: reef aquarium salt mix
  • Alkalinity: about 12 dKH (Red Sea figure)
  • Mixing rate: Red Sea rates Coral Pro at about 30 litres of seawater per kilogram (7 kg makes 210 litres, 22 kg makes 660 litres)
Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for marine reef aquariums, and recommended by Red Sea for mixed reefs and SPS frag tanks. Not for freshwater aquariums. If your tank already runs at a lower alkalinity, raise it gradually rather than with one large water change, as a sudden jump can stress corals.

Care

Mix with RO water (water purified by reverse osmosis to remove most dissolved minerals) in a clean container, and check the salinity with a refractometer (a tool that measures how salty the water is) before adding it to the tank. Keep the sack sealed and dry between uses, as salt mix takes up moisture from the air.
