Red Sea Reef Care Bioactive Elements Trace Colours D

The bioactive trace element part of Red Sea's Trace-Colors range, dosed together with Trace-Colors C. Red Sea Trace-Colors D (Bioactive Elements) contains 18 bioactive trace elements. Red Sea describes its Trace-Colors minor and trace elements as necessary for coral vitality and colour, and for refugium algae growth (a refugium is a separate chamber, often in the sump, used to grow macroalgae). It is part of Red Sea's Reef Care Program and its Complete 7-part supplement program. Sold here in 500 ml and 5 litre bottles.

Key features
  • 18 bioactive trace elements, separate from those in the other three parts: Trace-Colors A (iodine, bromine and fluorine), B (potassium and boron) and C (iron, manganese, cobalt, copper, aluminium, zinc, chrome and nickel).
  • Dosed 1:1 with Trace-Colors C, as Red Sea directs.
  • One of four Trace-Colors groups, which Red Sea links as a range to the natural pink, red, green and yellow, and blue and purple coral pigments.

Safety

Red Sea states that trace elements become toxic above the levels found in natural seawater, so the correct dose is crucial. Red Sea recommends its Foundation and Trace-Colors Pro test kits to make sure elements are replaced as they are used up.
