Red Sea Reef Care Coral Colours ABCD 4 x100ml Bottles Trial Pack

Try the full four-part colour program before committing to full-size bottles. The Red Sea Reef Care Coral Colours ABCD Trial Pack bundles 100 mL bottles of Colours A (Iodine+), B (Potassium+), C (Iron+) and D (Bioactive Elements) – the complete coral colouration system in a size built for testing the program, not running it long-term.

Key features
  • All four Colours supplements in one pack – A, B, C and D, 100 mL each, so you can run the full program without buying four full-size bottles up front.
  • Targets four separate colour pathways – iodine and halogens for pinks, potassium and boron for reds, iron and trace metals for greens, and a bioactive trace-element blend for blues and overall vitality.
  • Dosed to tested demand, not a fixed schedule – Red Sea's own guidance ties Colours dosing to measured calcium consumption, not a calendar.
  • Under 1c per litre of tank water treated at standard dosing – the trial pack works out to a fraction of a cent per litre across the four bottles combined.

Dosage and directions

Red Sea's general dosing guide is 1 mL of each Colours supplement per 100 L of tank water for every 20 ppm of calcium your system consumes, dosed daily. That ties colour-element dosing to your coral growth rate rather than a fixed schedule. For precise, tested dosing rather than the general formula, pair this pack with the Red Sea Reef Colours Pro test kit, which measures iodine, potassium and iron directly.

Do I dose all four at once?

Yes – the four are designed to be dosed together, each into a high-flow area of the sump, ideally a few minutes apart rather than mixed together undiluted.

What happens if I overdose one of these?

Each element carries its own risk. Excess iodine can affect coral soft tissue. Excess potassium tends to show up first as algae growth rather than coral stress. Excess iron is toxic to invertebrates above the recommended level – this is the one to be most careful with in a mixed reef.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for established reef aquariums running SPS, LPS or mixed coral that show washed-out colouration despite stable core parameters (calcium, alkalinity, magnesium). Not a starting point for a new or unstable tank – get calcium, alkalinity and magnesium dialled in with the Foundation ABC+ range first, since trace-element dosing on an unstable base does little for colour.

Care and maintenance

Store all four bottles capped, upright and out of direct light. Once you've worked out which elements you go through fastest, the standalone 500 mL and 5 L bottles work out cheaper per litre than repeat trial packs.

Warranty and delivery

Consumable supplement pack – check the use-by date on each bottle, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply regardless of any manufacturer date. Standard freight.

Goes well with
  • Red Sea Reef Colours Pro test kit – for measuring iodine, potassium and iron rather than dosing on the general formula alone.
  • Red Sea Foundation A, B and C – get calcium, alkalinity and magnesium stable before layering on colour dosing.
  • Red Sea Reef Care Dosing Cap Tube – accurate, repeatable measuring for all four bottles.
Common questions

Is this pack enough to run the program long-term?

No – it's sized for trying the program, not maintaining it. At the general dosing rate, each 100 mL bottle covers roughly 10,000 L of tank water treated over time, which is a matter of weeks on most reef tanks, not months.

Can I buy just the elements my coral needs, rather than all four?

Yes – A, B, C and D are all sold individually in 500 mL and 5 L sizes once you know which your system actually needs.

Do I need the test kit to use this safely?

Not strictly, if you follow the general calcium-linked dosing formula. But iron toxicity to invertebrates means testing is the safer path once you're dosing regularly rather than trialling.

Will this fix pale coral on its own?

Only if trace-element depletion is the actual cause. Pale coral is just as often lighting, flow or an unstable calcium/alkalinity/magnesium base – rule those out first.
