The genuine Red Sea replacement for the Reefer sump-side downpipe, with the integrated flow valve intact. This is Red Sea part R42217 – the factory valved downpipe used in the sump on six Reefer and MAX-E systems. Ordering the genuine part matters here: fit the wrong downpipe and the valve won't seat properly, and you lose the ability to tune the overflow.

Possibly not. Red Sea introduced a separate downpipe, R42229, for the 350 V3 and XL 425 V3, and a further part, R42229G2, for the 350 G2 and XL 425 G2. If your tank is a V3 or G2-generation 350, 450 or XL425, check your serial number or model plate before ordering. R42217 is the correct part for the earlier-generation systems, and for the 250, XL 525 and MAX-E in every generation we found listed.
