Red Sea ReefLED 160 / G2 170 Power Supply

The first fix for a ReefLED 160 or G2 170 that's gone dark.

This is Red Sea's genuine replacement power supply (Red Sea part R35192) for the ReefLED 160 (original, G1) and ReefLED G2 170. It's the internal DC supply that feeds the fixture's LED driver, and it's the single most common failure point in an otherwise-dead light – a fixture with no standby light, no app connection and no response to power should be tested with a known-good supply before you assume the driver board or LEDs themselves have failed.

Key features
  • Genuine Red Sea part R35192 – factory match, no compatibility guessing.
  • Fits ReefLED 160 (G1) and ReefLED G2 170 – the same supply serves both models.
  • Plug-fit replacement – connects to the fixture's original wiring, no rewiring or splicing.
  • The cheapest fix to try first – swapping the supply is quicker and less expensive than sending the whole fixture in for repair.
Specifications
Manufacturer part number R35192
Fits ReefLED 160 (original/G1), ReefLED G2 170
Does not fit ReefLED 160S (uses a different supply, Red Sea part R35175)
Will it fit my light?

Check your model name carefully before ordering. This supply fits the original ReefLED 160 (G1) and the ReefLED G2 170 – it does not fit the ReefLED 160S, which despite the similar name and wattage uses a different power supply (R35175). If you're not sure which fixture you have, the model name is printed on the underside of the unit.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable as a replacement for a ReefLED 160 (G1) or ReefLED G2 170 that won't power on, flickers intermittently, or has been confirmed as a power supply fault. Not suitable for the ReefLED 160S or for earlier ReefLED 90/G2 115 models, which use their own dedicated supplies.

Safety

This is a mains-connected internal component – fit it with the fixture unplugged, and if you're not confident opening the housing yourself, have it fitted by someone who is.

Warranty and delivery

Covered by your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law, in addition to any separate part warranty Red Sea offers. Small parcel item, ships standard.

Common questions

My ReefLED won't turn on at all – is this the fix?

It's the likely candidate when the fixture is completely dead – no standby light, no app connection. Dimming, flickering-while-running or colour-shift faults more often point to the driver board or LEDs instead.

Does this fit my ReefLED 160S?

No. The 160S takes a different power supply (Red Sea part R35175). This listing is for the original ReefLED 160 (G1) and ReefLED G2 170 only.

Do I need an electrician to fit this?

No – it's an internal plug-fit module using the fixture's existing connector, not a mains rewiring job. Fit it with the light unplugged.

What's the output rating of this supply?

Red Sea hasn't published the output voltage or current for this part. If you need it confirmed for a specific repair, ask us and we'll check with the supplier.
