Zoo Med Floating Turtle Dock Mini
A basking spot that adjusts itself as the water level changes is one less thing to get wrong. The Zoo Med Floating Turtle Dock Mini gives aquatic turtles a place to climb fully out of the water and dry off under a basking lamp. Its self-levelling design automatically adjusts to the water level, so the dock keeps working through water changes and evaporation instead of stranding above the surface or submerging. A textured ramp lets your turtle climb aboard from underwater, and the dock mounts to the tank wall with suction cups so it stays in position.

Which size do I need?
Zoo Med sells the Floating Turtle Dock in five sizes. Pick a dock close to your turtle's current shell length with room to grow, and size up as your turtle grows rather than trying to make one dock last its whole life.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for hatchling and small aquatic turtles that need a low, easy climb-out point.
- Suitable for tanks with enough open water surface for the dock to float and self-level freely.
- Not suitable as the sole basking spot for a turtle that has outgrown the Mini – move up a size rather than crowding it onto a dock it can barely fit on.
- Not a substitute for a basking lamp and UVB lighting positioned over the dock – the dock provides the platform, not the heat or UV.
Care and maintenance
Wipe down and rinse the dock during routine tank cleaning, since basking platforms accumulate waste and biofilm from turtles climbing in and out. Check the suction cups periodically and reseat them if they lose grip.

Common questions
Will the dock float too high or too low as I do water changes?
No – the self-levelling feature is designed specifically to adjust to the current water level, so the climb-out height stays consistent as the water level changes.
Do I need a heat lamp over the dock?
Yes. The dock is a platform, not a heat source. Position a basking lamp and, where your species needs it, a UVB lamp above the dock at the manufacturer's recommended distance.
How do I attach it to the tank?
It mounts to the inside of the tank wall using suction cups, positioned so the ramp faces open water your turtle can swim to.
My turtle is outgrowing the Mini – what's next?
Move up to the Small (TD-10), which is roughly 40% longer, and continue sizing up through the range as your turtle grows.
