Zoo Med Repti-Fogger Transducer Plate

The part that actually makes the fog – and the one most affected by tap water minerals. This is the genuine Zoo Med replacement transducer plate for the RF-10 Repti Fogger (blue light model). The transducer is the ultrasonic disc beneath the fog nozzle that turns water into mist; mineral scale from tap water is the most common reason it stops working.

Key features
  • Genuine Zoo Med part – the ultrasonic disc that generates the fog, matched to the RF-10.
  • Direct replacement – fits where the original transducer plate sat, no modification needed.
  • Fixes the most common fogger fault – a scaled or worn transducer is the usual reason a Repti Fogger stops misting even though the fan still runs.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable as a replacement transducer plate for the RF-10 Repti Fogger with blue light. Not suitable for other brands of ultrasonic humidifier – the disc size and fitting are specific to the Repti Fogger.

What's included

One transducer plate only. Fit it in place of the old disc inside the fogger base.

Care and maintenance

Run the Repti Fogger on distilled or reverse-osmosis water where possible. Tap water minerals scale onto the transducer surface over time and are the leading cause of premature failure and reduced mist output.

Warranty and delivery

Covered by Zoo Med's standard warranty against manufacturing defects, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships as a small parcel.

Common questions

My fogger's fan runs but there's no mist – is this the part I need?

Likely, yes. If the fan spins but the water surface above the transducer doesn't ripple or mist, the disc has usually scaled over or failed. Check the fan first if the disc looks clean and is rippling the water but no fog is escaping the nozzle.

Why does my transducer keep failing?

Mineral buildup from tap water is the most common cause. Switching to distilled or RO water significantly extends the life of the disc.

Does this fit the non-blue-light Repti Fogger?

Zoo Med lists this part against the RF-10 blue-light model specifically – check your unit before ordering if you're not sure which version you have.
