Watch your enclosure's climate from your phone, in real time. The Slither Sense Gateway and Sensor pack pairs a WiFi gateway with one Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor, so you can check conditions inside your reptile enclosure from the free Slither Sense dashboard instead of walking over and reading a dial. The gateway connects to your home WiFi and talks to up to 200 sensors over Bluetooth, so this same gateway covers every enclosure in the room as you add more sensors later.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for keepers who want remote, app-based tracking and alerting across one or more reptile enclosures, alongside – not instead of – a good in-enclosure thermostat and thermometer.
- Requires a home WiFi network reachable from the gateway's location; it isn't a stand-alone offline display.
- Not a substitute for a thermostat – Slither Sense monitors and alerts, it doesn't control your heating or humidity equipment.
Care and maintenance
Keep the gateway within WiFi range of your router and the sensor within Bluetooth range of the gateway. Wipe the sensor housing down as part of normal enclosure cleaning; the IP66 rating covers misting and humidity, not submersion.
Common questions
Does this replace my thermostat?
No. Slither Sense monitors and alerts on temperature and humidity – it doesn't switch your heating or misting equipment on or off. Keep your existing thermostat controlling the enclosure.
Can I monitor more than one enclosure with this pack?
Yes – this pack includes one gateway and one sensor, and the same gateway supports up to 200 sensors, so you can add more sensors later to cover additional enclosures or zones without buying another gateway.
What happens if my WiFi goes down?
The gateway needs a working WiFi connection to send data to the dashboard and push alerts, so monitoring and remote alerts pause until the connection is restored.
Is the sensor safe in a humid or misted enclosure?
Yes, the sensor is rated IP66 for water resistance, suiting the humidity and misting typical of tropical setups.
