Bioscape 40cm Curved Corner Glass Aquarium - 24L
A seamless curved-corner view for a small freshwater or marine set-up. The Bioscape 40cm Curved Corner Glass Aquarium is a 24 litre rimless glass tank with bowed front corners, built for a clean, uninterrupted view rather than a boxy square profile. It's supplied as a bare glass shell with a fitted lid — you'll need to add your own filtration, heating, lighting and substrate before it's ready to stock.
Key features
- Curved front corners — bowed glass at both front edges removes the usual silicone seam from your eye line.
- 4 mm rimless glass — no plastic trim around the top edge, for an open, minimal look.
- 24 litre capacity — a nano-scale footprint that suits a desktop, shelf or small stand.
- Glass lid included — fitted with removable clips, cut to the tank's curved profile.

What's included / Not included
This is a bare aquarium shell, not a complete system.
- Included: the glass tank, and a glass lid with removable clips.
- Not included: filter, heater, lighting, stand or cabinet, and substrate. Each needs to be chosen separately for the volume and livestock you're planning.
Which size do I need?
The curved-corner range comes in three sizes. This is the smallest.
| Model | External dimensions | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| 40cm (this tank) | 40 x 24 x 25 cm | 24 L |
| 45cm Curved Corner Glass Aquarium | 45 x 30 x 28 cm | 37 L |
| 50cm Curved Corner Glass Aquarium | 50 x 35 x 33 cm | 57 L |
If you're planning anything beyond a small shoal of nano fish, a shrimp colony or a single betta, the 37 L or 57 L model gives more room to plumb in filtration without crowding the footprint.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for a freshwater or marine nano set-up — a betta, a shrimp colony, small community fish, or a small pico-marine build. Not suitable as a complete kit out of the box: you'll need to source filtration, heating for tropical species, and lighting before adding livestock, and at 24 L there's little margin for stocking mistakes, so check your species' adult size first.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Bioscape's standard consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, in addition to any manufacturer warranty. As a glass item it ships in protective packaging; please inspect on arrival and report any transit damage promptly.
Common questions
What are the internal dimensions?
Bioscape doesn't publish internal dimensions for this model. With 4 mm glass on the sides, expect the internal footprint to sit just under the external 40 x 24 x 25 cm. Contact us if you need an exact figure before ordering equipment.
Does it come with a filter or heater?
No. This is a bare tank and lid only — filtration, heating and lighting are sold separately.
Is this tank suitable for saltwater?
Yes, the glass and silicone construction suits a small marine or pico-reef set-up as well as freshwater, though at 24 L a marine system needs especially careful, gradual stocking.
Can I fit a hang-on filter to a rimless tank?
Yes — rimless tanks like this one still have a flat top edge for hang-on filters and lids; just check the filter's bracket clears the glass lid.
