Bioscape Aquariums Nest of 3 Crystal Glass 45cm 50cm 60cm
Three bare glass aquariums nested into one delivery, sized to run three different projects at once. The Bioscape Nest of 3 Crystal Glass set bundles a 45 x 24 x 25 cm, a 50 x 27 x 32 cm and a 60 x 30 x 36 cm rimless aquarium, each in 5 mm low-iron glass, at a lower combined price than buying the three separately. None of the three tanks includes a light, filter, heater, lid or stand – this is glass only, so you fit each one out for what it's actually going to hold.
It suits a fish room being built out in stages, a breeder who wants a grow-out tank plus two quarantine or holding tanks in one order, or an aquascaper who wants to try the same layout at three different scales before committing to one. Because low-iron glass costs more to make in every size, buying the set is usually the cheapest way to get all three.
Key features
- Three tanks, one low-iron glass spec – 45 x 24 x 25 cm, 50 x 27 x 32 cm and 60 x 30 x 36 cm, all in 5 mm ultra-clear glass with minimal green tint compared to standard float glass.
- Rimless on all three – no plastic trim on any tank, for a clean sightline and an open top for planting, hardscaping or netting fish.
- Nested for one delivery – the three tanks ship packed inside each other, which is what keeps the set's per-tank price below buying each size on its own.
- Genuinely different jobs, not three of the same – the 45 cm suits a nano aquascape or hospital tank, the 50 cm a mid-size community tank, and the 60 cm a display tank or a proper grow-out.
Specifications
| Tank | External dimensions | Glass thickness | Approx. volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smallest | 45 x 24 x 25 cm | 5 mm | ~27 L |
| Middle | 50 x 27 x 32 cm | 5 mm | ~43 L |
| Largest | 60 x 30 x 36 cm | 5 mm | ~65 L |
Volumes above are calculated from the external dimensions (length x width x height), not a figure Bioscape publishes directly, so treat them as the tank's brim-full capacity – actual water volume once substrate, hardscape and a sensible air gap at the top are accounted for will be somewhat less.
Which one do I need?
If you already own the standalone Bioscape 60cm Ultra Clear tank sold separately in this store, note that one uses 6 mm glass – thicker than the 5 mm 60 cm tank in this nested set. Both are genuine Bioscape products; the nested set uses a lighter glass spec across all three sizes to keep the bundle affordable, which is standard for value-nested sets and not a fault. If you specifically want the heavier 6 mm 60 cm tank, buy that one separately instead of this set.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: freshwater and marine display, quarantine, breeding or grow-out setups – the glass and silicone work is the same regardless of water type.
- Not suitable for: anyone wanting a plug-and-play kit. You'll need to source a filter, heater and light separately for each tank you set up.
Care and maintenance
Rimless tanks need a perfectly flat, padded surface under the entire base – a foam levelling mat is standard practice, and it's worth checking level in both directions before filling. Fill each tank gradually rather than all at once if you're setting all three up together, so you can catch a levelling issue before it becomes a leak.
Warranty and delivery
Any manufacturing fault – a seal that weeps or a scratched panel on arrival – is covered under your consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law, in addition to anything Bioscape offers directly. Glass aquariums ship as an oversize, fragile item; expect them freighted flat and well braced rather than sent with a standard parcel courier.
Common questions
Do any of the three tanks come with a lid, light or filter?
No. All three are bare glass only. Budget separately for lighting, filtration, heating and a lid or cover glass for each tank you plan to run.
Can I run all three on the same filter?
No – each tank needs its own filtration sized to its own volume, unless you're deliberately plumbing them into a shared sump system, which is a different setup to what this nested set is designed for.
Is the 60 cm tank in this set the same as the standalone 60 cm Ultra Clear tank?
No. The 60 cm tank in this nested set is 5 mm glass; the standalone Bioscape 60 cm Ultra Clear sold separately is 6 mm. Both are genuine Bioscape glass, just different specs for different price points.
Will these fit inside each other for storage if I only use one at a time?
Yes – that's how they ship. You can nest the unused tanks inside the largest one for storage between projects.
Are these suitable for a saltwater tank?
Yes, the glass and silicone are the same regardless of water type, but you'll still need to fit a lid, light, filter and heater or chiller suited to a marine setup separately.
