Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and planted aquariums large enough for a piece this long. The tannins soften the look of the water, which suits blackwater setups; if you want crystal clear water, plan to run activated carbon for a while.
Care
Soak the piece in a bucket before use, changing the water as it turns brown, until it stays clear for several days. Like most driftwood it releases tannins (natural plant compounds) that tint the water tea coloured and lower the pH slightly over time. Activated carbon in the filter clears the colour if you prefer clear water. Some pieces still float after soaking; fix them to a rock with fishing line until they sink.
Warranty and delivery
A natural product, so no manufacturer's warranty applies; this is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel post.
