Fine, even bubbles from a mineral stone, not a rubber diffuser. This is a single 25 mm Bioscape mineral airstone, sold on its own card, that connects to any air pump running standard airline tubing. The porous mineral aggregate breaks air into a finer, more even bubble curtain than a moulded rubber or plastic diffuser, lifting oxygen exchange and surface movement in tanks running a plain air pump, sponge filter riser or CO2-free planted setup.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for nano to standard aquariums needing extra surface agitation from an air pump, sponge filter risers, and CO2-free planted or shrimp tanks where extra gas exchange helps. Not a substitute for proper filtration on a heavily stocked tank, and not the tool for directional flow – a powerhead suits that better.
Care and maintenance
Mineral airstones clog gradually as mineral salts and biofilm build up in the pores, and the bubble curtain gets coarser as this happens. Because it's sold as a single low-cost stone rather than a multi-pack, the simplest fix once the bubble pattern coarsens is to swap it for a new one rather than trying to clean it. Fit a check valve in the airline between the pump and the stone, so a power cut can't siphon tank water back into the pump.
