Bioscape Terra Base Extra Coarse 3-5mm 5kg Bag

• Extra coarse 3 to 5 mm grain, which lets water circulate through the bed and helps stop the layer compacting.
• Inert and pH neutral (it will not change your water chemistry or shift pH, the measure of how acidic or alkaline the water is).
• Works in water and on land, under plant soil or decorative gravel in aquariums, or as a drainage base in terrariums.
• Bioactive mixes (living terrarium setups with plants and clean up crew): can be blended in to keep the mix open and free draining.

• Grain size: 3 to 5 mm (extra coarse)
• Weight: 5 kg bag
• Effect on pH: none (inert)

Suitable as a base layer in planted aquariums, under decorative gravel, and as a drainage layer in terrariums and paludariums (part water, part land enclosures). At 3 to 5 mm it is too coarse to use on its own as a top layer for fish that sift sand or for plants that need a fine rooting bed, so cap it with a finer substrate or plant soil.

Rinse in a bucket until the water runs clear before adding it to an aquarium.
