Bioscape Grey Stone Cave
A small stone hide sized for fry, shrimp and nano fish. The Bioscape Grey Stone Cave is a compact aquarium ornament, approximately 6 x 4 x 7cm, cast in Bioscape's aquarium-safe resin and finished with a weathered grey stone look. Unlike the brand's larger character pieces, this is a purpose-built shelter – a single low cave opening sized for small and shy fish rather than a display centrepiece.
Key features
- Genuine cave opening – sized for fry, shrimp, and small or shy fish to shelter in, not just decorative texture.
- Compact footprint – approximately 6 x 4 x 7cm suits nano tanks, breeding tanks and foreground placement in larger aquariums.
- Weathered stone finish – moulded texture reads as natural rock rather than a smooth cast shape.
- Aquarium-safe resin – non-toxic and inert, won't affect water chemistry.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: fry and breeding tanks, shrimp colonies, nano aquariums, and shy or small-bodied fish needing a low, tight hide.
- Not suitable for: larger or territorial fish, which won't fit the opening or may dislodge a piece this small and light.
Care and maintenance
Rinse under tap water before placing it in the tank. Because the cave opening is narrow, lift it out during water changes to clear detritus that can collect inside, rather than trying to siphon around it in place. Safe to leave in the aquarium indefinitely.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects on arrival, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships as a standard parcel item – no special freight handling required.
Common questions
Is it big enough for adult fish?
It's sized for fry, shrimp and small or shy species. Larger adult fish will need a bigger cave.
Will it stay put on gravel or sand?
Its compact size and low profile keep it stable in most setups, but it isn't weighted, so avoid strong water flow directly against it.
Is it safe for a shrimp tank?
Yes. The resin is inert and non-toxic, and the opening suits shrimp looking for cover.
Do I need to rinse it before use?
A light rinse under tap water clears dust from packaging and shipping.
