Restore full-power heating to your Bioscape PRO 2000 L/h canister. This 300 W heating element is the replacement part for the built-in heater in the Bioscape PRO Easy Clean Canister Filter, 2000 L/h model — the largest canister in the PRO range, rated for tanks up to around 600 L, and the one that draws the most wattage to hold temperature.
Key features
- 300 W heating element — matches the factory-fitted heater in the 2000 L/h Bioscape PRO canister filter
- Direct replacement — restores the filter's inbuilt heating without replacing the whole canister

Check the flow rate printed on your canister filter's housing or its original box before ordering — the 2000 L/h canister needs this 300 W element, not the smaller 200 W part shared by the two junior models.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for: the Bioscape PRO Easy Clean Canister Filter, 2000 L/h model, on tanks up to around 600 L.
Not suitable for: the 1050 L/h or 1620 L/h Bioscape PRO canister filters, which use the 200 W heater (BIS553), or any other brand's canister filter.
Safety
This is a mains-powered heating element for use only inside the Bioscape PRO Easy Clean canister it's designed for — do not run it outside the filter housing or submerged loose in the aquarium. Isolate power before opening the canister to fit it, and let the unit cool fully first if it has just been running.
Warranty and delivery
Manufacturer warranty applies to this spare part in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law; contact us with your order details if it arrives faulty. Standard freight applies.
Common questions
Will this heat a 600 L tank on its own?
300 W is the wattage Bioscape fits as standard to the 2000 L/h canister, which they rate for tanks up to roughly 600 L in a typical indoor room. In a cold room or on a very large tank, ask us about running a second heater as backup — most keepers at the top of this range do.
Does this fit the 1050 L/h or 1620 L/h canister filter?
No. Those two smaller canisters use a 200 W heater (BIS553) — this 300 W element is sized for the 2000 L/h model only.
How do I know if the heater has failed rather than the thermostat or the whole unit?
If the tank temperature is drifting and the canister is otherwise running normally — flow is fine, no leaks — the heating element is the most likely culprit, and the part this listing replaces.
Can I use this heater on its own, outside the canister?
No — it isn't a standalone submersible heater. It's built to sit inside the Bioscape PRO Easy Clean canister's heater chamber and run through the canister's own controls.
