The Bioscape Hunter Mask sits at 17 x 17 x 11.5 cm and is cast in a single piece of durable, non-toxic resin, with eye and mouth cavities large enough for fish to swim through and shelter in. It's inert in water — it won't shift pH, hardness or general water chemistry — so it drops into freshwater and marine set-ups with nothing more than a rinse.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater community and cichlid tanks, marine and reef-adjacent display tanks, and terrarium builds where a sculptural hide is wanted. Not intended as a load-bearing platform for rockscaping — it's a standalone ornament, not a structural aquascaping piece, so don't stack other decor or equipment on top of it.
Care and maintenance
Rinse thoroughly in fresh water before adding it to the tank to clear any dust from moulding and packing. Because it's a single dense casting, current from a powerhead or return pump can still shift it on a bare glass base — settle it into the substrate, or use a small dab of aquarium-safe silicone if it's going on top of a rock structure.

Common questions
Will the Hunter Mask affect my water parameters?
No. It's cast from inert resin that doesn't leach into water or affect pH, hardness or KH.
Is it reef safe?
Yes — it's chemically inert, so it's safe to place in a marine or reef-adjacent display. As with any new decor, rinse it first and keep an eye on parameters for the first day as a general precaution.
Will it float?
No. At 792 g of solid resin it sits on the substrate on its own; no need to glue or weight it down unless it's positioned somewhere with strong direct flow.
Can fish get stuck inside it?
The eye and mouth cavities are open swim-throughs rather than enclosed chambers, so fish can pass through freely rather than becoming trapped.
