Bioscape Moss Water Pipes 19 x 13cm Large
A bolder rustic pipework centrepiece for community and cichlid tanks. The Bioscape Moss Water Pipes Large is a hand-finished, non-toxic resin ornament at 19 × 13 cm – the bigger sibling to Bioscape's Water Pipes, with wider channels and more internal volume for a busier tank.
Key features
- Hand-finished resin – cast and hand-painted, texture and colour vary slightly piece to piece.
- Multiple wide openings – several through-channels sized for larger-bodied fish, not just nano species.
- Centrepiece scale – large enough to anchor an aquascape rather than sit as a background piece.
- Moss-covered detailing – faux moss built into the resin, not a separate applied layer that can peel off.

Which size do I need?
This is the larger of the two Water Pipes ornaments Bioscape sells. Pick this 19 × 13 cm Large size for community and cichlid tanks where a bolder centrepiece works better; the 11 × 8 cm version suits nano tanks, shrimp colonies and bettas where a large piece would crowd the scape.

| Water Pipes | 11 × 8 cm | Nano tanks, shrimp, bettas |
| Water Pipes Large (this product) | 19 × 13 cm | Community and cichlid tanks |
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine community and cichlid tanks that can accommodate a larger ornament. Not ideal for nano tanks under roughly 40 L, where the smaller Water Pipes leaves more swimming room.
Care and maintenance
Rinse thoroughly under running water before adding it to the tank to clear manufacturing dust or loose resin particles. No soaking or curing required – it's inert and won't affect pH or water chemistry.
Warranty and delivery
Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Common questions
Will it affect my water chemistry?
No – it's a non-toxic, inert resin that doesn't alter pH or hardness.
Does it float or sink?
It sinks and sits in place on the substrate; no gluing or weighting down is needed for normal use.
Is it big enough for cichlids?
The wider channels and larger scale suit medium cichlids looking for a cave-style retreat, though very large or territorial species may still need multiple hiding spots around the tank.
Is it reef safe?
Bioscape markets it as safe for both freshwater and marine setups; rinse well and introduce gradually in a sensitive reef system if you're being cautious.
