Bioscape PRO Smart Cube Nano Aquarium 35 x 32 x 25cm
A rimless nano system that lights, filters and feeds itself. The Bioscape PRO Smart Cube Nano Aquarium is a 20 litre rimless glass tank built around an all-in-one smart lid — RGB+W LED lighting, a 3-stage side filter, a 250 L/h pump, an auto feeder and a digital temperature display are all built in. At 35 x 32 x 25 cm it suits a desktop or shelf-scale freshwater display.
Key features
- Rimless, low-iron glass — 93% light transmittance for a clearer view than standard green-tinted glass, with no rim to interrupt the sightline.
- Built-in 3-stage filtration — sponge blocks, activated carbon and bio-beads run in an integrated side chamber, so there's no separate canister or hang-on filter to plumb in.
- 16 W RGB+W LED lighting — full-spectrum lighting with five modes (red, green, blue, white and a colour cycle), run from the touch panel on the lid.
- Auto feeder built in — dispenses 1–3 mm pellets on a manual trigger or an 8, 12 or 24-hour schedule, useful for short trips away.
- Digital temperature display — reads the tank in real time and flags an out-of-range reading (blue for stable, red for outside the safe band).
- Touch-activated cooling fan — helps manage heat build-up from the light and pump on warmer days, without a separate fan unit to add.
- Low total power draw — the whole system — light, pump, feeder, fan — runs on 16 W through a single 12 V adapter.

What's included / what's not included
This is sold as a complete system, so here's exactly what's in the box and what you'll still need to add.
Included: rimless low-iron glass aquarium, smart lid with RGB+W LED lighting and touch controls, integrated 3-stage side filter (sponge blocks, activated carbon, bio-beads), 5 W / 250 L/h water pump, auto feeder, digital temperature display, touch-activated cooling fan, 12 V power adapter, instruction manual.
Not included: heater, substrate, background, decor, stand or cabinet, livestock, fish food (the feeder dispenses pellets you supply separately), water conditioner.
Will it fit my space?
At 35 x 32 x 25 cm and 20 litres, this is a desktop or shelf-scale display rather than a room centrepiece. Check the footprint against where it'll sit, and leave clearance above the lid for feeding and for lifting it to service the filter chamber.

Pick the Cube for a genuinely nano, desktop-scale display; step up to the Deluxe for more swimming room and a pump you can tune to the layout, on the same smart-lid platform.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for nano freshwater planted or community setups, and desktop or office displays where having light, filtration and feeding in one lid matters more than raw capacity.
Not suitable for tropical species without adding a heater separately — none is built in — or for fish that need more than 20 litres of swimming room. Bioscape doesn't publish this model as reef-capable; if you're planning a marine or reef nano, check with us before buying rather than assuming the built-in lighting and flow are sufficient.
Care and maintenance
Rinse the sponge and bio-bead media in removed tank water during water changes, not tap water, to protect the bacteria colony living in them. Replace the carbon component periodically — once it stops keeping the water polished, it's exhausted. Keep the touch panel dry and wipe down rather than submerge it.
Safety
Runs from the included 12 V adapter (AC 100–240V input), which suits Australian 240V/50Hz supply without a separate step-down transformer. Keep the adapter itself clear of splash range and follow the included instructions for lid removal during maintenance.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by Bioscape's 2-year warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Ships by standard parcel post — check the box footprint against your delivery access if you're not home during the day.
Goes well with
A Bioscape PRO Electronic Heater (500 W suits up to 300 L, comfortably covering this tank) for tropical stocking, plus your choice of substrate and hardscape — neither is included with this kit.
Common questions
Does this tank come with a heater?
No. The smart lid covers lighting, filtration, feeding and temperature display, but heating isn't built in — add a heater separately for any tropical species.
Is the glass tempered?
Bioscape describes the tank as rimless, low-iron glass with 93% light transmittance, but doesn't state whether it's tempered. Ask us if that's a requirement for your setup.
How loud is the pump and fan?
Bioscape markets the pump as quiet-running but doesn't publish a decibel figure for either the pump or the cooling fan.
Can I use my own filter media instead of what's supplied?
The side chamber is sized for Bioscape's sponge, carbon and bio-bead set. Other media may fit, but Bioscape doesn't publish the chamber's internal dimensions to confirm against.
Will the auto feeder work with any pellet food?
It's designed for 1–3 mm pellets. Larger pellets, flake or frozen food aren't compatible with the dispenser mechanism.
