Bioscape Turkish Bottle Urn 15 x 11cm

A weathered urn silhouette that doubles as a hideaway. The Bioscape Turkish Bottle Urn is a 15 x 11 cm hand-finished, non-toxic resin ornament styled on an aged bottle urn, with an open interior fish and shrimp can use as a hide. It suits freshwater and marine aquariums as well as planted or naturalistic aquascapes.

Key features
  • Hand-finished resin — cast and hand-painted, so texture and colour vary slightly piece to piece.
  • Open hide — the urn's interior cavity gives fish and shrimp somewhere to shelter.
  • Freshwater and marine safe — non-toxic and inert, so it won't affect pH or water chemistry.

Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums, nano tanks and planted or naturalistic aquascapes. Not sold or finished as a reptile climbing or basking feature — it's an aquatic ornament, and Bioscape doesn't rate it for terrarium heat or weight-bearing use.

Care and maintenance

Rinse thoroughly under running water before adding it to the tank to clear any manufacturing dust or loose resin particles. No soaking or curing is required — it's inert and won't affect pH or hardness.

Warranty and delivery

Covered against manufacturing defects under Bioscape's warranty, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Common questions

Will it affect my water chemistry?

No — it's a non-toxic, inert resin that doesn't alter pH or hardness.

Does it float or sink?

Cast resin ornaments like this one are solid and sit in place on the substrate on their own; no gluing or weighting is needed for normal use.

Is it reef safe?

Bioscape markets it as safe for both freshwater and marine setups. As with any new ornament in a sensitive reef system, rinse it well and introduce it gradually if you're being cautious.

Will fish use it as a hide?

Yes — the open cavity is shaped to give smaller fish and shrimp somewhere to retreat.
