Which size do I need?
The Small (7 cm) suits nano and small desert enclosures or as an accent among other hardscape. The Medium (13 cm) reads as a more substantial feature piece and gives small reptiles a taller surface to climb or shelter beside.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suited to bearded dragons, leopard geckos, uromastyx and other arid or desert-terrarium species, and to any keeper who wants a low-maintenance accent piece. Not a substitute for live planting if your species specifically benefits from foraging on real vegetation.
Care and maintenance
Rinse with water when soiled and allow to dry before returning it to the enclosure. It can be disinfected for hygiene between animals or after a health issue in the enclosure – check your disinfectant is fully rinsed off and the piece is dry before reuse.

Is the Barrel Cactus safe for my reptile to climb on or rub against?
Yes. It's moulded without real spines specifically so animals can contact it safely, unlike a genuine barrel cactus.
Can I use this in a bioactive enclosure with live plants?
Yes – it's designed to work alongside live planting as well as on its own, and won't compete with live plants for light or water.
How do I clean it?

What's the difference between the Small and Medium sizes?
