Exo Terra Canned Superworms 34gm
All the appeal of live superworms, none of the live-food upkeep. Exo Terra Canned Superworms are whole morio worms (Zophobas morio), heat-processed and sealed in the can to soften the body and lock in natural scent and nutrition — a substantial, protein-rich feeder without a live worm colony to maintain. One 34 g can.
Key features
- Single-ingredient morio worms — nothing else in the can.
- Canning softens the worms — a gentler bite than tough-skinned live superworms, easier for smaller-mouthed animals to manage.
- Meatier, higher-fat feeder — a substantial treat for larger dragons, skinks, monitors and insectivorous birds.
- No live-food upkeep — no bran, no escapees, no die-off.
- 34 g can, resealable for the fridge once opened.

Feeding and directions
Offer a few worms as part of a varied diet, or as a treat two to three times a week. Present with feeding tongs to control portion size and trigger a feeding response in movement-focused feeders. Discard any uneaten portion after 24 hours, and refrigerate the can once opened.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable as a treat or diet-variety item for larger insectivorous and omnivorous reptiles — bearded dragons, larger skinks, monitors — plus turtles and insectivorous birds. The higher fat content makes it better suited as an occasional treat than a daily staple for animals prone to obesity.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by your rights under Australian Consumer Law as a packaged pet food product. Ships standard.
Goes well with
- Exo Terra Calcium + D3 Powder, for dusting before serving
- Feeding tongs, for portion control and a natural hunting response
- A staple pellet diet suited to your species, alongside this as a treat
Common questions
Are superworms the same as mealworms?
No — superworms are the larvae of a different beetle species (Zophobas morio, sometimes called morio worms) and are larger and meatier than mealworms.
Is this too fatty to feed often?
At 13.9% fat it's richer than many feeders, so it's best offered as a treat two to three times a week rather than a daily staple, particularly for animals prone to obesity.
What size animal is this suited to?
The canning process softens the worms, but they're still a substantial feeder best suited to larger dragons, skinks, monitors and similar species rather than small or juvenile animals.
Do I need to refrigerate it before opening?
No — the can is shelf-stable unopened. Refrigerate only after opening and use within 24 hours.
