Suitable for, and not suitable for

Suitable for reptiles that bask occasionally or live in partial sunlight, including in taller enclosures. For animals that bask in open, midday sun, Exo Terra makes the UVB300; for shade-dwelling species, the UVB100. It is not a heat source, so pair it with a suitable basking lamp.

Care

Replace the tube once it reaches the end of its stated UV life, even if it still lights up. Glass, acrylic and fine mesh between the tube and the animal block part of the UVB. Follow the distance guidance on the pack, and always give the animal shaded areas it can move to, so it can control how much UV it gets.

Safety

Switch off and let the tube cool before changing it, and avoid looking straight at the lit tube. For use with reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates only.
