One shared motor unit that fits four AquaClear filters — genuine Fluval part A16002. The AC20, AC30, AC50 and AC70 all use the same motor housing behind different impellers and flow settings, so a single spare part covers the whole small-to-mid AquaClear range.
Will it fit my filter?
Part A16002 fits the Fluval AquaClear AC20, AC30, AC50 and AC70 power filters, and the Fluval C2, C3 and C4 clip-on filters. It does not fit the AquaClear 110 — that's a larger 14 W motor, sold separately as the AC110 motor unit. Check your filter's model badge before ordering if you're not sure which size you have.

Fitting
No tools required. Unplug the filter, remove the old motor from the filter case, and press the new unit into place — it uses the same mounting across AC20, AC30, AC50 and AC70 housings. Prime with water before switching on.
Safety
Unplug before fitting. Do not run dry — prime the filter fully before restarting.
Common questions
Does one motor really fit all four filter sizes?
Yes — Fluval uses the same A16002 motor across the AC20, AC30, AC50 and AC70, with the different flow ratings coming from the impeller and flow-control valve, not the motor itself.
Will this fit my AquaClear 110?
No — the AC110 uses a larger, separate 14 W motor.
Does this fit the Fluval C-series clip filters too?
Yes, Fluval lists the C2, C3 and C4 clip-on filters as sharing this same motor unit.
